Concrete Porch Lifting & Repair

Are you noticing that your porch is becoming slanted, or is pulling away from your house? It’s very common for porches to settle unevenly, especially if they are not properly attached to the home’s foundation. When water seeps in under the porch, it causes the soil to move, which causes even more settlement, and eventually cracks. If left unaddressed, a total porch replacement will be needed.

Our concrete repair experts at LiftPro can inject polyurethane foam under your concrete to lift it back up to its original position, leaving you with a safe, level porch for years to come.

How Porch Polyjacking Works

Replacing a porch can be expensive and disruptive to your daily routine. LiftPro can repair it in just a day with a quick and easy process:

01

We drill dime-size holes into the sunken slabs.

02

We inject polyurethane foam into the holes, where it expands, fills voids, and raises the slab to its original position. Curing only takes about an hour.

03

We seal the holes with cement for a smooth, even finish.

04

In most cases, you can use your porch within a few hours.

Polyjacking vs. Mudjacking a Porch

Mudjacking used to be the preferred alternative to porch replacement. But mudjacking uses a slurry of sand, gravel, and concrete to fill voids, which is heavy and can add more weight to soil that’s already compromised, causing the porch to sink again as soil shifts.

Polyurethane foam is lightweight and actually adds strength and stability to the soil. Plus, the holes we drill for polyjacking are only the size of a dime while mudjacking holes are about an inch wide. This makes polyjacking the better choice when it comes to looks and longevity.

Critters Love Voids Under Porches

If your porch is unlevel, it’s possible that you’re seeing snakes, skunks, raccoons, mice, and other animals creeping in and out from under it. Voids under porches provide the perfect place for critters to stay dry and cozy, but they could be damaging your home. As burrowing pests dig in the soil beneath the concrete, it causes your porch to sink even further, while also creating drainage issues that allow water to get to your foundation. Plus, who wants to step outside to see creepy snakes or skunks?

When we lift your porch with polyurethane foam, we also fill the voids underneath it. This creates a solid foundation where wildlife can no longer make themselves at home.
